My name is Paula Greensted and I am a fully qualified solution focused clinical hypnotherapist and psychotherapist. I trained with the renowned Clifton Practice (www.cpht.co.uk), achieving the Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH) and the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD), considered to be the ‘gold standard’ in hypnotherapy training.
With a background in marketing, I worked in mental health for a number of years, which sparked my fascination with the mind and what makes us tick. Like most of us, I have experienced some of life’s challenges, including stress, family worries, grief and loss. I was lucky enough to have some hugely beneficial therapy sessions with a good friend who is a hypnotherapist, which not only got me back on track but also made me realise that this was a path I wanted to pursue myself.
The discovery of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy was a real ‘lightbulb’ moment in my search for the right training. I love its positivity, how it is rooted in neuroscience and modern research – and especially that it concentrates on the present and future rather than looking back at events from the past.
When I was growing up, my father used to tell me that when you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life. Now I know he was absolutely right. I’m passionate about what I do and seeing my clients make positive changes in their lives is truly inspiring.
I am a registered member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH), the National Council For Hypnotherapy (NCH), the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), and the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR). Membership of these professional associations requires me to adhere to a strict code of conduct and to undertake regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD), ensuring that my knowledge and skills are kept up to date.
I am also fully insured and hold an enhanced DBS certificate, which enables me to work with both adults and children.
